Who do I contact if I have questions about my cart?

Contact Republic Services of Evansville if you have specific questions about your cart: (812) 424-3345.

Where do I place my carts for pick-up?

Please place the carts at the end of your driveway if you have curbside pick-up. Keep the cart at least three feet from any structure or another cart. If you are an alley pick-up, place the cart at your property line and at least three feet from any structure or another cart.

What is the cost of an extra cart?

If you want an additional cart for trash or recycling, you can order it through Republic Services by calling (812) 424-3345. A one-time service fee of $100 will be charged for each additional cart. There is no extra charge for emptying additional carts.

Will an additional cart cause my refuse fee to increase?

No. In fact, your monthly service fee remains the same.

What if I want a smaller, 48-gallon cart?

If you want the smaller, 48-gallon cart, contact Republic Services and they will make arrangements: (812) 424-3345.

What if I don’t want to use the supplied carts?

It is necessary for trash and recyclables to be placed in the City’s supplied carts to be compatible with the automated pick-up system.

If I turn in my recycling cart, will I pay a lower refuse fee?

If you don’t recycle and turn in your recycling cart, you still pay the standard refuse fee. Fees cover trash, recycling and street cleaning.

What happens if my cart is damaged or stolen?

Each cart has an identifying serial number. If you report your cart stolen or damaged, it will be replaced by Republic Services of Evansville.

What do I do with my carts if I move?

If you move, please leave the carts for the new home owner to use.
